How to play

Sit across from each other with one tablet or phone between you — Player 1's tiles are on top, Player 2's are on the bottom (turned to face them). A target appears in the middle. Whoever taps their matching tile first wins the round! First to 5 points wins the match. There's no penalty for a wrong tap — just try again before time runs out.

What your child learns

Tap Race builds the same letter, number, shape, and color recognition as the other games, but adds quick decision-making under a little friendly pressure — and turns learning into a shared moment between a child and a parent, grandparent, or sibling instead of solo screen time.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Tap Race designed for?

It's built for a child and a grown-up (or two kids) to play together, roughly ages 3 to 8 depending on which round content — letters, numbers, shapes, or colors — comes up.

Is this game free to play?

Yes, Tap Race is completely free with no sign-up required.

Can two kids play against each other?

Yes! Any two players can sit across from one device and race — it works just as well for two siblings as it does for a parent and child.

What happens if we only have one player?

Tap Race is built around two players racing at once, so it's best enjoyed with a partner. For solo play, the other games in this section are a better fit.
