How we produce these guides

This section is written and maintained by the editorial team behind 10 Years Question Paper, the same team that has published exam-preparation resources for Indian students since this site's founding.

Sources we use

Every factual claim in this section is checked against a primary or authoritative source before publication:

  • Government sources: the National Scholarship Portal, Vidya Lakshmi portal, RBI notifications, and Income Tax Department guidance
  • Institutional sources: published fee notifications from IITs, NITs, and named universities
  • Lender-published rate sheets and product terms, checked directly against the bank or NBFC's own disclosures

We do not use AI-generated financial figures presented as verified fact, and we do not source numbers from other blogs or aggregator sites without independently checking the primary source.

How we date and update content

Every article carries a "last verified" date. Scholarship deadlines, interest rates, and fee figures change at least annually, and we review high-traffic pages on that cadence at minimum. If you notice an outdated figure, tell us — see our contact page.

What this section is, and isn't

  • We explain how scholarships, loans, and costs work. We do not process loan applications, and we are not a lender, broker, or scholarship administrator.
  • We do not charge any fee to readers for information on this section.
  • Advertising on this site is served through Google AdSense and is clearly labelled. Advertising does not influence which schemes, lenders, or institutions we describe or how we describe them.

Corrections

If you find an error, contact us through the contact page with the specific article and figure in question. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant corrections at the bottom of the affected article.
