About this paper

This is the ICSE Class 10 Biology question paper from the 2014 board examination, reproduced from a book of solved ICSE papers with an answer written below each question. The header gives one and a half hours of writing time plus 15 minutes of reading time. Section I (40 marks) is compulsory and mixes naming, functions, fill-in-the-blanks on the female reproductive system, odd one out, a transpiration experiment with a weighing machine, matching, multiple choice and exact locations. In Section II (40 marks) candidates attempt any four questions built on diagrams and experiments, such as the pathway of blood circulation, osmosis in potato cubes, the reflex arc, a stage of mitosis and the nephron. This copy stops partway through Question 6.
