ISC 2017 English Language Question Paper for Class 12

About this paper

This is the ISC Class 12 English Paper 1 (Language) from the 2017 board examination, code 1217-801 A. It carries 100 marks and lasts three hours, with an extra fifteen minutes for reading only. All four questions are compulsory. Question 1 is a composition of about 450–500 words on any one of six subjects, for 30 marks. Question 2 is a newspaper report entitled City Hospitals. Question 3 tests sentence transformation, filling blanks with a suitable word, and verb forms. Question 4 is a comprehension on a passage adapted from Dick Francis's Penalty, with vocabulary, short answers and a summary of not more than 100 words, to be planned in points first.
