About this paper

This is the ISC Class 12 English Paper 1 (Language) from the 2020 board examination, code 1220-801A. It carries 100 marks and lasts three hours, with an extra fifteen minutes for reading only. All four questions are compulsory. Question 1 is a composition of about 400–450 words on any one of six subjects, for 25 marks. Question 2 asks for a school-magazine report of not more than 300 words on an inter-school drama competition and a proposal of not more than 150 words for a career-guidance workshop.
