About this paper
This is the ICSE Class 10 Hindi (Second Language) paper from the 2018 board examination, with a model answer printed after every question. Section A, of 40 marks, is compulsory and has a composition of about 250 words (including a photograph of schoolgirls with slates), a letter of about 120 words, an unseen passage and grammar. Section B, also of 40 marks, asks for any four questions, at least one from each of the two books studied, drawn from Sahitya Sagar, the novel Naya Rasta by Sushma Agarwal, and Ekanki Sanchay. The questions below are translated from Hindi. The answers are short enough to show how much to write for a two-mark or a three-mark part.
