ICSE 2018 Home Science Question Paper for Class 10

About this paper

This is the ICSE Class 10 Home Science paper from the 2018 board examination, reproduced as a solved paper with an answer written under every question. Section A (40 marks) is compulsory and has four questions, each with five two-mark short answers on topics such as the colour wheel, savings, food groups and food adulteration. Section B (60 marks) has six fifteen-mark questions, of which any four are to be attempted; each opens with a short statement and asks three five-mark parts. They cover home furnishing, family budgeting and bank accounts, adolescence, laundry work, meal planning and consumer education. The answers are given in point form, which helps in judging how much to write for a two- or five-mark part.
