About this paper

This is the ICSE Class 10 History and Civics paper (H.C.G. Paper 1, code T15 501) from the 2015 board examination. It carries 80 marks and is to be written in two hours, after fifteen minutes for reading. Part I is compulsory for 30 marks: ten one-mark questions on the Union government and ten two-mark questions on Indian and world history. In Part II, candidates choose any two of three civics questions from Section A and any three of five history questions from Section B, each question carrying 10 marks. The long answers cover the Rajya Sabha, the Cabinet, the courts, the national movement, the transfer of power in 1947, the First World War and the United Nations.
