About this paper
This is the ICSE Class 10 Physics question paper, Science Paper 1, from the 2023 examination, code T23 521. It is marked out of 80, with two hours to write after 15 minutes of reading. Section A (40 marks) is compulsory. Question 1 has 15 multiple-choice items, and Questions 2 and 3 are short answers on pulleys, centre of gravity, a geyser rated 240 W and 220 V, and radioactivity. Section B (40 marks) has Questions 4 to 9, of which any four are to be attempted, covering a prism, a convex lens, a block and tackle of velocity ratio 4, SONAR, specific resistance and calorimetry. Answers are to be written on a separate sheet. This copy has the questions only.
